BOISE, ID - Chicago Cubs owner Tom Ricketts will be arriving in Boise this Monday, August 15, to visit the Cubs Class-A affiliate, the Boise Hawks. A 3:00 pm press conference will be held Monday at the Boise Chamber of Commerce, 250 S. Fifth Street in Boise. Mr. Ricketts will be assessing the Boise Hawks facilities on his visit, as well as meeting with Better Boise Coalition. Tom Ricketts has been the head of the team's ownership group since October 2009. When the deal was finalized, he gained 95% ownership of the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field, and 25% of Comcast SporstNet Chicago from the Tribune Company. This visit will mark the first appearance by any principal owner of the Chicago Cubs to Boise since the Hawks' affiliation began in 2001.

The club has won 6 NWL Championships, the most recent banner coming in 2004.
