Metairie, LA-- Chin-Feng Chen drove in four runs to lead the Las Vegas 51's to a 6 to1 victory over the New Orleans Zephyrs on Saturday Night at Zephyr Field in front of 8,849.

Wilkin Ruan singled off Zephyrs starter Ken Vining to lead off the game. Joe Thurston singled to center as Ruan advanced to third as Kyle Logan misplayed the ball. Chen flied out to left to score Ruan. The 51's scored a run in the fifth off Vining as Rick Bell tripled to lead off the inning and scored on a fly out from Eric Riggs. The Zephyrs cut the lead to one as Jason Alfaro scored on a single from David Matranga in the seventh inning.

The 51's added some cushion as Chen had a bases loaded triple in the eighth. The 51's wouldn't need it as four 51's pitchers scattered seven hits and allowed only one run. Bryan Corey (3-4) picked up the win in relief tossing four shutout innings while striking out eight. Vining (3-5) suffered the loss pitching five innings allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits while walking none.

The series with the 51's continues on Sunday at 5:05 PM. with Hibernia Kids Day. The first 500 kids with paid admission receive a Zephyrs replica jersey. Bob Scanlan (0-5, 4.21) is scheduled to start for the Zephyrs and Andrew Lorraine (7-7, 4.34) for the 51's. The game can be heard on WTIX-AM 690 and at www.zephyrsbaseball.com with Tim Grubbs and Ron Swoboda calling the action.
