
Cheetahs Take Care of Business against Freedom

Crestwood, Il- The Cook County Cheetahs (36-34) beat the Florence Freedom (18-52) this evening by a score of 7-0, to move within 3 ½ games of first place in the Frontier League's West Division. The Cheetahs got yet another great pitching performance out of their starter, Grant Williams (8-7). Williams went 7 strong innings, allowing 6 hits and 0 runs. The Cheetahs had RBI's from Sean Bischofberger, Kevin Brown, Nick Johnson, Damon Burkhart, and Chuck Van Robays. The Cheetahs have had several great pitching performances this homestand, and Adam Palmer will look to have another solid performance for the Cheetahs on Tuesday. Palmer has a record of 4-5 and an ERA of 3.49.
Taking the loss for the Freedom was Chris Jakubaukas (2-8). The Freedom was able to scatter 7 hits, but left 11 runners on base. Taking the hill tomorrow for the Freedom will be Bobby Graves who will go into the game with a 5-9 record and a ERA of 3.59.
