
Checkers Ink Another Defenseman

CHARLOTTE , N.C. - Derek Wilkinson, Head Coach and General Manager of the Charlotte Checkers, announced today that the team has agreed to terms with Ryan Glenn. As a rookie last season, Glenn helped the Checkers reach the 2005 Kelly Cup American Conference Finals.
Glenn, a 6-foot-2-inch, 209-pound defenseman, will attend preseason camp with the Nashville Predators (NHL) and the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) this fall. Glenn, originally from Port Coquitlam , British Columbia , was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in round five (145th overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
Glenn, 25, played in 61 regular season games last year tallying 28 points (9g, 19a) and 50 penalty minutes. He appeared in all 15 of Charlotte 's playoff games recording 14 points (3g, 11a) and 10 penalty minutes. Glenn also spent 11 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL recording 14 penalty minutes.
