CHECKERS TO RETIRE SEHER'S NUMBER CEREMONY PLANNED FOR NOVEMBER 7TH
Come out and show your support as the Checkers retire one of their longtime teammate's numbers, #4 Kurt Seher! Seher has been with the Checkers for the past 10 seasons and has decided that he has skated for the last time with the team. To honor the occasion, there will be a special presentation to Kurt on Friday before the Checkers take on the Greensboro Generals. Kurt and his family will remain in Charlotte.
SAVES FOR KIDS SAVE-A-THON CHECKERS GOALIES TEAM UP TO HELP KIDS
This season the Checkers goalies will be participating in a "Saves for Kids" save-a-thon. Money pledged by fans and businesses for each save made by a Checkers goalie will be donated to a Children's Charity to help sick kids and their families through very tough times. If you would like to help out with the "Saves for Kids" save-a-thon, make your pledge today for the month of October by calling the Checkers front office at 704-342-4-ICE. The Checkers staff and team thank you in advance for your donation and support. For the month of October, the "Saves for Kids" save-a-thon has only raised $17.70 to help the children. We hope that you will consider making the pledge for the month of November to help our goalies raise the much needed money.
SEASON TICKET HOLDER FORUM NOVEMBER 19TH
Attention Season Ticket Holders! Come out on Wednesday, November 19th for the Season Ticket Holder Forum at 6:15 p.m. in the Locker Room Club at Cricket Arena. This is your chance to meet the Checkers new President Jeff Longo and share your questions and comments about the team that you may have.
