Charles Roberts ties two Bomber rushing records

WINNIPEG, MB – Runningback Charles Roberts tied two Winnipeg Football Club rushing records Saturday.

Roberts, who surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the season, tied the Blue Bomber record for most 1,000-yard rushing seasons with three – set originally by Jim Washington (1976, 1977 & 1978) and later equaled by Willard Reaves (1983, 1984 & 1986).

Roberts also tied Washington for most consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons with three. Washington's run went from 1976-1978.
