Cleveland Charge News Release
DETROIT, MI - The Cleveland Charge (5-5) were defeated on the road by the Motor City Cruise (7-3), 111-100 at the Wayne State Fieldhouse on Tuesday Night.
Emoni Bates scored a game-high 32 points with four rebounds and two steals. Pete Nance had a new career high of 20 points on 9-of-15 shooting with eight boards. Sharife Cooper scored 18 points on 8-of-13 from the field with six assists and three steals. Rob Edwards added 13 points and five steals off the bench. The Charge forced 26 turnovers from the host team that resulted in 27 points.
The Cruise were paced by a trio of 20+ point scorers as they took a 2-0 edge in the season series. Stanley Umude scored a team-high 23 points. Jontay Porter posted a double-double of 21 points and 14 boards for Motor City. Zavier Simpson scored 20 points, grabbed six boards and dished six assists.
