March 7, 2013 - NBA G League (G League)
Cleveland Charge News Release
The Canton Charge have acquired a second round pick in the 2013 NBA Development League Draft from the Maine Red Claws in exchange for the rights to guard Josh Selby, the team announced today. Canton held Selby's rights after he had played in the required minimum 10 games for the team this season
The Charge now own nine choices in the 2013 D-League Draft, as they hold seven of their eight original picks as well as Fort Wayne's first round choice and Maine's second round choice. Canton sent their third round pick to Fort Wayne in a trade earlier this season.
Selby appeared in 11 games with the Charge while on assignment from the Cleveland Cavaliers and averaged 15.3 points on .350 shooting with 6.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 32.9 minutes per game. He was waived by the Cavaliers on March 3, and his rights were obtained by the Charge upon him signing a D-League contract.
