Chad Bennett Signs with Wolves

Watertown, NY - The Watertown Wolves are proud to announce that forward, Chad Bennett, has signed an agreement with the team for the 2014-15 season.

The 5'10" 190 pound Burlington, Ontario native played two seasons with the Fredonia State (SUNY) Blue Devils and completed his Bachelor of Science in Marketing. While with the Blue Devils (NCAA Division III), he earned the SUNY Rookie of the Week honors. Chad also played three seasons in the Ontario Junior Hockey League for the Brampton Capitals and Aurora Tigers. In his final junior season, he was the Tigers' leading scorer for the regular season and post-season, and was runner-up for player of the month.

Bennett was drafted in the second round, eighth overall by Watertown in the Federal Hockey League Draft.

"Chad is a speedy 2 way player who has great hands around the net and is known as a penalty kill specialist" says Head Coach Brent Clarke. "Chad works extremely hard on and off the ice and will be a great piece of the puzzle for Watertown in the 2014/2015 season."

Opening night is October 17th versus the Danbury Whalers at Watertown Fairgrounds Arena, with puck drop at 7:35pm.
