Midfielders Joaquín Torres and Mathieu Choinière, as well as defender Kamal Miller, have all reached 10 or more consecutive starts this season.
Midfielder Matko Miljevic logged his first MLS minutes.
Forward Romell Quioto scored in a third straight game.
WILFRIED NANCY
"I was happy with the way we started the game; we were in control, we weren't in danger. It's a bit annoying because the start of the game was interesting. Giving the ball away cost us goals again tonight, even though we weren't in danger. It is still an away game, against a very good team, and we didn't just defend. I would have liked to help my team a little more with the changes. On the animation, on the sides, we could have done better, it lacked a bit of fluidity. I'm a bit frustrated because we were in control of the game, but we couldn't solve the mystery."
SAMUEL PIETTE
"At the start of the year we surprised a lot of people, we were looked down as last in the power rankings, we worked very hard to install this playing identity and at the end of the season the teams are starting to know us. Columbus played very well tactically against us, with a very low and solid block. Unfortunately, a big goal from Zardes, his second, really hurt us, but we didn't give up and we fought until the end which is part of who we are."
JOEL WATERMAN
"We know the schedule is busy and tight and we won't use that as an excuse. They pressed us well and they did their homework before playing us. We're still in a good position, three points from third place. It's very tight and we have a game on Wednesday that we need to get ready for. We will focus on that that. "
