Norwich Sea Unicorns News Release

NORWICH, CT - The Connecticut Tigers are proud to announce that Brigitte Valdez, who is a tribute performer portraying Celine Dion, will sing the national anthem and do a meet and greet with fans on Sunday afternoon as part of the festivities for Sunday Funday against the Aberdeen Ironbirds. First pitch for the game is at 1:05 PM.

Beginning her careers at the tender age of 13, Valdez's travels have led her to gigs singing back-up vocals for Benny Mardones, The Pharcyde and Johnny Angel. From school concerts to country clubs, Valdez gained experience, exposure and self-assurance. In fact, it was her work ethic and amazing vocal ability that propelled her to record a self-titled pop album, "Brigitte," which was released to critical acclaim in Asia.

Valdez will be performing in the award-winning live tribute show "Legends in Concert," which returns to Foxwoods Resort Casino for the fifth time. The show opened on July 1 with seven performances scheduled weekly through Labor Day weekend (September 4).

Tickets to the world's original tribute show are available online at www.foxwoods.com, by calling the Foxwoods Box Office at 800-200-2882, through Ticketmaster, or in person at the Foxwoods Box Office.

The "Legends" summer 2011 production will feature shows at 8 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays through Saturdays, with Wednesday matinees at 1 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m.

August's line-up includes The Beatles, Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, Donna Summer, and Carrie Underwood.
