Celebrations and Unique Promotions Highlight Next Homestand

LITTLE FALLS, NJ-As the New Jersey Jackals attack the Northern League record book and also prep for the 2002 playoffs, the team will host a special six-game homestand beginning Friday August 16th through Wednesday August 21st. In the upcoming homestand at Yogi Berra Stadium, the Jackals will host Albany-Colonie Diamond Dogs on Friday and Saturday nights (the 16th and 17th) and Sunday afternoon (the 18th) and the Allentown Ambassadors Monday through Wednesday (the 19th-21st).

The Jackals, who own a 52-20 record on the season and are just 12 wins shy of tying the Northern League record for most victories in a season, will host Mardi Gras Night on Friday evening, complete with a fireworks show following the game.

On Saturday the Jackals organization will celebrate their fifth anniversary by announcing their official Fifth Anniversary Team as voted by the fans. Former Jackals' players will join current members of the team in an on-field ceremony before the game; and the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a special poster commemorating the team's anniversary.

In addition, Saturday the 17th is a Saint Patrick's celebration in which the Jackals' players will wear special green jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game. Proceeds from the auction will be given to the Foundation Fighting Blindness, the official charity of the Northern League. Also fans will be rewarded throughout the night for wearing green clothes or for painting their faces green!

Penny Pepsi 'Til You Pee will be the fun and unique promotion on Tuesday night the 20th of August. That evening all sodas purchased at the concession stands at Yogi Berra Stadium will cost just one cent, a penny. The catch is that the price remains in effect until somebody uses the bathroom! The longer the fans in attendance can hold off heading to the bathroom, the longer all the fans will be able to purchase penny Pepsis!
