
Cats Top 4,000 In Season Ticket Sales

The Moncton Wildcats have passed the 4000 mark in season tickets sold. General Manager Bill Schurman announced today that 4033 tickets have been purchased for the 2005-2006 season.
"This is a milestone in the history of the franchise," Schurman said. "In our 10th Anniversary Year and being the host team for the 2006 Master Card Memorial Cup, our objective was to reach the 4000 mark before the end of the season. The number represents a growth in fan support of almost 100% over previous years."
There are a number of factors in the growth of sales according to Schurman. "The primary reason for the increase has been the Wildcats hosting of the Memorial Cup, however, the play of the team has brought fan interest to an all time high. We have been the number one ranked team in the country for the past three weeks. That goal has been reached due to the work and dedication of the Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Ted Nolan, associate coach Danny Flynn and assistant coach Daniel Lecroix and the Wildcats players. The front office as well has worked extremely hard and has made a significant contribution to the success of the season.
