FORT WORTH, Texas- The Fort Worth Cats used a six run inning to cruise past The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings 10-0 Thursday night at LaGrave Field.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Shelby Ford reached first on an error from third basemen Kevin Lusson.

One batter later David Bergin reached first on another error from the Wings infield, advancing Ford to third and Bergin to second.

This would spark a six run inning for the Cats, as Chris Ellison and Ryan Miller hit a pair of doubles and a combined four RBI's. As Fort Worth took a 6-0 lead and held on from there.

In the fifth inning David Bergin and Daniel Meeley hit back to back singles setting up Greg Bachman belted a two RBI double extending the lead to 8-0.

Antony Bello (1-5) was charged with the loss going four and one-third innings, on eight hits allowing eight runs.

Fort Worth's starting pitcher Aaron Wilkerson (3-1) sailed through the Wings lineup going seven innings strong, scattering four hits and striking out nine as he earned his third win of the year.

The series finale is set for Friday at LaGrave Field. First pitch is 7:05
