
Cats' Rally Falls Short, Titan Prevail 7-5

The Wildcats found themselves trailing Acadie-Bathurst 5-1 early in the second period before mounting a comeback. The Titan eventually needed an empty-netter late in the third to win 7-5 in a wild contest at the Avenir Centre before 4,100 on Saturday night.
Wildcats goals to Olivier Boutin (6th), Gabe Smith (7th), Connor Trenholm (8th), Caleb Desnoyers (11th), and Nathan Grenier (4th). Boutin also added two assists and Julius Sumpf contributed two helpers and earned Second Star honours. Defenseman Etienne Morin and winger Thomas Auger were not in uniform.
Jacob Steinman and Keegan Warren shared the goaltending duties for Moncton, facing 28 shots. Moncton directed 32 at winner Josh Fleming.

It's a doubleheader weekend with the 'Sunday Funday' game featuring the Saint John Sea Dogs at 4pm at the Avenir Centre.

The Wildcats visit Quebec next week for three road contests - Baie Comeau Wednesday night, Chicoutimi on Friday evening and Saturday at 5pm in Drummondville against the Voltigeurs.
