The Wildcats reeled off their 3rd straight win, dumping the hometown Drakaar 5-2 in Baie Comeau in Friday night action.
First Star Max Barbashev was a dominant force with a goal (26th) and two assists. Also contributing with strong games were Connor Trenholm, his 13th goal and two assists and Charles Beaudoin hit the empty net (18th) and added two helpers as well. Other Moncton goals to Jonas Taibel (8th) and Alex Mercier (9th).
In goal, Jacob Steinman delivered another strong outing with 31 saves. The Wildcats fired 35 drives at Olivier Ciarlo.

The 2-game trip winds up Saturday afternoon in Chicoutimi against the Sagueneens. Game time is 5 p.m. Atlantic.
The Wildcats return to the Avenir Centre next week with three big home games starting a '$10 Student Night' Tuesday at 7 pm with Acadie-Bathurst, Friday night against the Sea Dogs at 7 pm, followed by the Halifax Mooseheads next Sunday Funday at 4 pm.
