Cats Explode to Bury Sags on Saturday Night

The Wildcats were flying Saturday night at the Avenir Centre, rolling over Chicoutimi 8-2 before 4,100 fans.

Moncton jumped out to a 4-0 first period lead and never looked back. Vincent Collard was the offensive catalyst scoring his 15th goal and setting up four others for a big 5-point night. Captain Yoan Loshing scored twice (18th, 19th) and assisted on 2 others for a 4-point game. Preston Lounsbury added two goals (10th, 11th), and other goals supplied by Julius Sumpf (11th), Olivier Boutin (1st) and Thomas Auger (8th).

Jacob Steinman backstopped the win with 29 saves to help the Cats improve to 18-7-1-1 after 27 games.
