Cats Comeback To Win After Three-Run Ninth

Justin Reed homered to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth and Alex Buchholz singled in the game-winning run and the Hillcats took a 3-2 victory.
The three-run ninth inning finished off the Hillcats' second straight comeback victory.
The Indians scored one run in the bottom of the second inning with two outs. Kyle Bellows reached with a double and scored on Cristo Arnal's single.
Ronald Rivas scored in the fifth on Donnie Webb's RBI groundout to make it 2-0.
The Hillcats came back again in the bottom of the ninth. Miguel Rojas led off by nailing a ball to deep center field. He reached second on the error by Webb. Justin Reed hit the first pitch he saw out of the ballpark to right field to tie the game.
Cody Puckett, Neftali Soto and Devin Mesoraco all reached with one out to load the bases for Buchholz. The Hillcats' starting third baseman singled up the middle on a 3-2 pitch to drive in the game-winner.
Matt Fairel had a solid start again at home. He threw six innings, and gave up two earned runs and struck out two. His no decision tonight was his first at home all season. Fairel was 3-0 in three starts at City Stadium.
Lance Janke threw three scoreless, hitless innings in relief. He earns his first win of the season, to move to 1-3. Dave Roberts gets the loss after relieving Kelvin De La Cruz with a tie game in the ninth.
Lynchburg and Kinston conclude their 4-game set tomorrow night at 6:05. City Stadium hosts Thursday Cheers for the second time this season. Lynchburg sends righty Scott Carroll (0-1, 2.70 ERA) to the mound against Kinston's lefty Nick Hagadone (0-2, 2.16 ERA).
