Reading Is Wild Gets Tasty Start:
Last night Beaverbrook School launched its Reading is Wild program with its Family Literacy Supper complete with cake. Team General Manager Bill Schurman was the guest speaker and was joined by a trio of Wildcats players, including Kirill Kabanov, Brandon Gormley, Andrew Roski and team mascot Wild Willie. Beaverbrook is one of the four schools taking part in this year's Reading is Wild program. This morning, Forest Glen School will have its official launch. West Riverview and Beaverbrook held their launch yesterday, while Dorchester is completing their launch plans for the near future. In its12th season, sponsored by the Times&Transcript and RBC, the students will push the total number of books read during the past dozen years to over the half million mark.
Three Game Home Stand Starts Tonight:
* Look for the Victoriaville Tigres to be out for payback when they take on the Wildcats tonight at 7 at the Coliseum. The Cats whipped the Tigres on home ice last Friday. There's no question it will be an exciting contest between two of the top teams in the Q. Game sponsor is the Times&Transcript and it's a ticket redemption night.
* Legends Restaurant is closed for tonight's game, food and beverage service will be available downstairs in the Famous Players Lounge starting at 5pm. w
* Tomorrow night, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan are the opposition in another 7 o'clock start. The Wildcats have had the Titan's number so far this season and will be looking to build on their point total. The game sponsor is Acklands-Grainger. Legends Restaurant opens in their usual spot behind Section 16 at 5pm.
* The second of the three make up games the Wildcats have to play because of the H1N1 problems in November is set for next Tuesday night against Rouyn-Noranda. It's another ticket redemption night with the puck dropping at 7 o'clock. Look for some great prizes from the game sponsor, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. * The third and final make up game will be played on March 8th against the Montreal Juniors.
* Rivalry Cup Round 6 is just over a week away. The Wildcats and the Sea Dogs do battle next Friday, February 6th. Now leading the Rivalry Cup point standings and trying to catch the Sea Dogs for top spot in the Atlantic Division and the League, it's a must see game.

We're less than two months away from the start of the playoffs and this year's playoff package goes out next week. It's going to be a great playoff run, be certain your seats are booked.
Mayor Pushes To Make Moncton A Canadian Monopoly City:
His Worship Mayor George LeBlanc will be seeking your help tonight in making Moncton one of the cities on the new Monopoly Board game to be launched this coming July 1st. His Worship will be Les Stoodley's guest on the video screen in the More with Les feature and also on the News 91.9 radio broadcast. It's part of the Wildcats support of the city's effort to make it to the board game. Look for computers at Fans Services, Legends Restaurant and in the area on the Mezzanine behind section 7. Support staff will be there to help you cast your ballot during the next three home games. You can also vote on line at www.monopolyvote.ca. It's our chance to bring more national attention to our city.
Cats Community Calendar:
- Look for the Rallye Motors PeeWee team in their Wildcats jerseys at Friday night's game. The team is getting set to represent the Cats at the famed Quebec City international PeeWee tournament which is part of the Quebec City Winter Carnival. The team will be guests of the Cats at tomorrow night's game and Coach Ryan Dawson and team member Benjamin Read will be guests on the video screen.
- Still with Minor Hockey and the Cats, Sunday will be a thrilling experience for the PeeWee Eagles of Oromocto. They won the Old Dutch Food national contest and will spend time with their favorite Major Junior team, the Wildcats of course, on Sunday. They'll visit the dressing room, spend time on the ice, get tips from Head Coach Danny Flynn and play against the Cats. They'll be in the stands on February 19th when the Rimouski Oceanic come to town. .
* Hockey fans will have an opportunity to show their respect and admiration for the women and men of our Armed Forces when the Wildcats hold their annual Support the Troops night on February 19th.
* Rio's Saves for Cancer now totals $120.00. Look for Rio to up that total in the next week.
* The Wildcats are supporting a Fundraising Dinner and Auction in aid of Nazareth House on Monday February 1st at St-Hubert's Restaurant at 235 Carson Drive, in the Trinity Complex, For tickets call 227-1843.

The Wildcats salute the creative leaders at Beaverbrook School for their innovative launch of the Reading is Wild program last night with their Family Literacy Day Supper last night. It was a great way to launch the program and emphasis the importance of reading to today's students.
