Catchings Nominated for ESPY Award

The Indiana Fever's Tamika Catchings has been nominated for a 2010 ESPY Award for Best WNBA Player. Other nominees include Becky Hammon of San Antonio, Candace Parker from the L.A. Sparks, Seattle's Lauren Jackson and the Phoenix Mercury's Diana Taurasi.

Fans from all over the world have the chance to select the winners of the ESPY Awards by voting online or by mobile device at espn.com/espys or on the ESPN facebook page: facebook.com/espn.

This winners of this year's awards will be announced during the ESPY Awards show, which will be televised by ESPN live from the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, July 14. The host of this year's awards show will be Saturday Night Live's Seth Myers.

All proceeds from the ESPYs and related events benefit the V Foundation for Cancer Research in memory of the late Jim Valvano.

Following its first visit to the WNBA Finals and three consecutive sellout crowds during the 2009 WNBA Playoffs, the Indiana Fever is eager to pursue a sixth straight playoffs appearance and a return trip to the Finals in 2010.
