
Cassivi sets franchise record with seventh shutout in 7-0 win over Milwaukee

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Joffrey Lupul and Curtis Glencross each had two goals and Frederic Cassivi stopped 20 shots, as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks beat the Milwaukee Admirals, 7-0, Saturday at Cincinnati Gardens.
Pierre Parenteau added a goal and an assist and Michael Holmqvist had three assists for the Ducks, who improved to 16-5-0-1 on Saturdays this season.
Lupul's two goals gave him a team-leading 20 on the season and nine points (six goals, three assists) in his last seven games.
Cassivi stopped seven shots in the first period, nine shots in the second period and four more in the third en route this his franchise-record seventh shutout of the season. Three of Cassivi's shutouts have come against Milwaukee.
With the win, Cincinnati moved two points ahead of Houston into sole possession of third place in the West Division. The Ducks and Aeros each have 11 games remaining.
Brian Finley, a first-round pick by Nashville in 1999, surrendered five goals on 17 shots before being pulled in favor of Seamus Kotyk in the second period for Milwaukee, which lost for just the third time in its last nine games.
The Ducks begin a two-game road trip Wednesday at Houston.
