
Carter Berg Named to Team West Under 17 Team

The Chilliwack Bruins would like to congratulate defenceman Carter Berg for being named to the Team West Under 17 team that will compete in the 2009 World Under-17 Challenge, December 29, 2008 to January 4, 2009 in Port Alberni, BC and across Vancouver Island.
Berg, a native of Saskatoon was selected by the Bruins in the second round of the 2007 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
The announcement of the final roster, which includes 11 players from Saskatchewan and 11 players from Manitoba, concludes a lengthy selection process. Players first took part in regional camps. The top players from each region then competed against each other in a Spring Tournament, and from there, the top players attended a Summer Camp.
Team West begins the tournament with an exhibition game versus Team Russia on December 28th.
