
Carpenter's Four Goal Night Sends Lancers Past Black Hawks, 5-2

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers defeated the Waterloo Black Hawks 5-2 on Friday night. Tyler Carpenter finished the night with his first four goals which included his first USHL career Hat Trick.
In the first period, Ryan Lautenbach (5:41) got the Lancers ahead 1-0 netting a backhand goal on Jack Williams. The Lancers added another goal from Tyler Carpenter (10:35) snapping the puck from the right blue line making the score 2-0. Late in the period, Waterloo got on the board on the power play for a 2-1 game going into the first intermission.
In the second period, Tyler Carpenter (12:38) scored to extend the Lancers lead 3-1. Minutes later, Carpenter (14:26) struck again to score a hat trick getting the Lancers ahead 4-1.
In the third period, the Black Hawks got on the board again at 3:24 on the power play to make the score 4-2. The Lancers went back on the power play late when Tyler Carpenter (11:12) netted his fourth goal of the night to get the Lancers the win by a final score of 5-2.
Dobes stopped 29 of the 31 Black Hawks shots that he faced in the game.
The Lancers are now 7-3 with 14 points and sit at second in the Western Conference. Omaha will take on the Tri-City Storm on Saturday, December 19th at 6:05 PM at Ralston Arena. All the action is on MixLR and HockeyTV.
