Pearl, MS --- Jordan Kreke singled home Cory Harrilchak with the winning run in the last of the ninth to lift Mississippi to a 4-3 victory over Carolina on Sunday night before 1,407 fans at Trustmark Park.

The game-winning rally started against reliever James Adkins (L, 0-1) with a double to right-center by Harrilchak. After a sacrifice bunt, Kennelly was intentionally walked, with reliever Justin Freeman entering to pitch. Kreke drilled a groundball single up the middle on the first pitch to win the game.

The Braves (20-23) tied the game in the seventh against Chris Mobley when Mycal Jones singled and Mat Kennelly doubled him home.

Trailing 2-0, the Mudcats scored three runs in the sixth thanks to a two-run double by Bill Rhinehart and a single by Yasmani Grandal.

Justin Lehr worked four-plus innings, allowing four hits and two runs in his second start back with the Mudcats after a rehab assignment.

Luis Avilan pitched six innings for the Braves, striking out a season-high six batters. Benino Pruneda (W, 2-6) pitched the final three innings of shutout relief to earn the victory.

Quintin Berry went 2-3 with four stolen bases to pace the Mudcats' seven-hit day.

Pedro Villarreal (5-2, 4.42) stars Monday night at 8:05 PM ET against Aaron Shafer (0-1, 7.94) in the fourth game of the five-game series.
