Carolina Cobras News Release

Greensboro, NC - The Carolina Cobras announce the signing of OL Jordan Harris.

Jordan Harris (6' 7" 345, Limestone College) who is the younger brother of the Original Cobra Joe Harris, but he certainly isn't the little brother, being 4 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier than Joe. We had an opportunity to talk to Jordan about his story and found out that their stories on how they got here is much different as well. Jordan didn't start playing football until his Junior year in High School at Stephenson High School in Atlanta GA. He was a good basketball player but really wanted to try something new. He picked it up quickly and even got some good scholarship offers, eventually choosing Mississippi State. He ended up not going due to grade issues, so he started at a Junior College in Mississippi, and left there because of an offensive line coaching change. He went home and sat out for two years as he stayed home to help his mother and little brother. He played prep ball while home, but after that two years he went back to Junior College at Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, MS. Jordan was first team all-conference and honorable mention All-American. He also received his degree from Coahoma. From there he went on to Valdosta State where he won a National Championship. He transferred after a coaching change and went to Limestone College where he was honorable mention ALL-SAC.

Jordan's message to Cobra Nation: "I am excited to start my career in a great city filled with great fans. I promise to give you 1,000% and will do my part to bring another championship to Greensboro. I'm looking forward to the process and can't wait to get started. To play with my brother is an honor, he is as competitive as I am, and it is an honor to play beside him. It was our mother's dream to see us play together, so it is a dream come true for everyone in the Harris household."

Of course we had to talk to Joe to get his impressions of his brother and this is what he said, "This will be a special year because over the break my Lil brother has signed as OL to the Cobras this year and it will be epic playing with my little bro. If there's anything I'm proud of I'm proud that I have a sibling that can play at a high level and also be an asset to the team. I can't predict the future, but I will say this my brother is an even better blocker than I am! His feet are tremendous, his hands are phenomenal, and his protection kick slide is what a quarterback needs and what's a sign of a great offense lineman."
