JACKSONVILLE - The 2019 National Arena League Champion Jacksonville Sharks have announced today the signing of Wide Receiver Jordan Williams. Williams signs for his third season in arena football and his second season with the Sharks. Jordan was also signed for the 2020 season
Williams (6'2, 190) joins the Sharks after spending the 2019 season with the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League (AFL). He also spent time as a kick returner for the Soul where he returned 48 kicks for 644 yards. In 2018, Williams was a teammate of current Sharks Quarterback Mike Fafaul.
Sharks Coach James Fuller stated "Very excited to have Jordan back in 2021, his work ethic is what has impressed me the most, he refuses to be outworked. He is a versatile wide receiver with big-play potential. Has great hands and the speed to separate from defensive backs."
During his college career, Williams played for three years as a wide receiver at Edinboro University and spent one season as a safety at Liberty University. During his college career, he accounted for 76 receptions for 973 yards and 11 touchdowns. Williams is from Orchard Park, NY, and attended Bishop-Timon St. Jude High School.
