Huntsville Havoc News Release
HUNTSVILLE, AL - Matt Carmichael made 35 saves in his first action since January 10 as the Huntsville Havoc beat the Fayetteville FireAntz 3-1 Friday night in front of 3,321 fans.
Doug Merrell scored his first goal of the season three minutes into the second period. Steve Hynes scored with 9:26 left in the second and Craig Bushey finished the scoring with 2:57 left in the period.
Dean Jackson added the lone goal for Fayetteville with 15:33 left in the game.
Fayetteville outshot the Havoc 36-28 including 12-6 in the third period. Fayetteville was 0-of-3 on the power play while Huntsville was 0-of-1.
The Havoc will host the Pee Dee Cyclones tomorrow night at 7:30 as Intergraph presents Military Appreciation Night.
