
CareFirst To Present Check To Boys & Girls Club At Aug. 29 Keys Game

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield will present a check in the amount of $5,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick.
DATE: Friday, August 29 at 6:40 p.m.
PLACE: Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick, Md.
DETAILS: This event is the culmination of the first year of a partnership between the Frederick Keys and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, the mid-Atlantic area's largest health insurer. Through the "K's for Kids Program," CareFirst has donated $10 to the Boys and Girls Club in Frederick for each strikeout thrown by a Keys pitcher at a home game during the 2003 season. CareFirst has also partnered with the other two minor league baseball teams in Maryland owned by Comcast-Spectacor, with proceeds going to the Boys and Girls Club in Bowie and the Eastern Shore March of Dimes in Salisbury.
