
Captains take series finale over Suns

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Hagerstown Suns dropped the finale of their three game series with the Lake County Captains by a score of 10-4 on Friday night at Municipal Stadium. The Captains big inning came in the fourth, when they scored five runs off a combination of Yunior Novoa and Matthew Perks. Matt Whitney had the big hit for Lake County, with a three-run double.
Leonard Davis hit a solo home run and Joe Napoli went 2-5 with a double and two RBI for Hagerstown. The Suns mounted a rally in the ninth, but only were able to score one run and left the bases loaded in the frame. Captains starter Jeanmar Gomez picked up his first win of the season.
The Suns embark on a six-game road trip beginning in Lake County tomorrow afternoon, first pitch is at 1:05. The team returns home on Friday, April 27th to take on the Delmarva Shorebirds at 6:35 pm.
