
Braves return home, Cormier to start Sunday

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves return to State Mutual Stadium on Saturday night to begin an eight game home stand. The Braves take on the Columbus Catfish beginning at 7pm. Reggie "the purple party dude" will be on hand to entertain the fans presented by 95.7 The Ridge. Rome will play Columbus in a four game series followed by Savannah on April 26-29.
Atlanta Braves pitcher Lance Cormier will start Sunday's game for Rome in a Major League rehab assignment. Cormier was placed on the Atlanta disabled list on March 31st with a strained right tricep. This is the second time that Cormier has pitched for the Rome Braves doing so at the beginning of the 2006 season.
