Rome Emperors News Release
Rome, GA - Lake County won its second in a row over Rome Sunday afternoon by a final score of 5-1 before 3,152 fans.
Rome took a 1-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI single by Freddie Freeman. The Captains tied the game in the sixth as Chris Nash singled home Dustin Realini.
Lake County took the lead in the seventh inning 3-1 on an RBI groundout by Juan Valdez and a single by Realini that scored a run. The Captains added insurance runs in the eighth and ninth innings for the 5-1 final.
Jonathan Holt (3-6) gets the win for the Captains while Adam Bullard (0-1) is tagged with the loss for the Braves.
