Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will put individual tickets for all 70 home games on sale at Classic Park on Saturday, March 14 at 9 AM. Fans who buy tickets in-person at Classic Park on this day will receive "Your Meal On Us" as the Captains will give a complimentary voucher for a free hot dog, soda and popcorn at the next Captains game they attend for each ticket purchased.
Tickets can also be purchased on the Internet at Captainsball.com and by telephone at 440-954-WINS (9467).
The Captains have also announced that ticket prices for 2009 will remain the same as last season. There will be no discounted tickets on fireworks nights due to high demand for these games but senior and kid's discounts will still be in effect for all other games.
"This is a very exciting day because we know that baseball season is just around the corner" Captains Vice President and General Manager Brad Seymour said. "We know that the economy has been pretty tough so keeping our prices the same as last season will enable our local community to enjoy an affordable time out at the ballpark."
In addition to great giveaways and 20 fireworks shows throughout the 2009 season, the Captains will also feature special weeknight promotions, including the new and improved "Buck Night Mondays presented by National City", which will offer $1 off all regular-priced game tickets as well as a $1 concession menu that includes hot dogs, fries, popcorn, peanuts, chips, onion rings, mini corn dogs, soda and beer.
During Tuesday and Wednesday night games, Captains fans will eat to their heart's content with the debut of "Feed Your Face" nights. For only $15, fans receive a game ticket and all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, mini corn dogs, peanuts and popcorn.
Wednesday nights will also feature a new and improved Win Big Wednesday promotion where the first 1,000 fans will receive special scratch-off tickets upon entry into Classic Park. Each ticket will include a special prize of discount and one fan will have the chance to go on the field during the game and win $500 in cash.
Thirsty Thursday returns as well, featuring ½-price fountain soda and draught beer, in addition to "Pub Food" appetizer specials. The Captains will also feature a live local band or local DJ Karaoke prior to each Thursday game to entertain at Classic Park.
"Our commitment to providing affordable family entertainment has not wavered during these times and as a matter of fact that commitment has grown through these new weeknight offerings," explained Seymour.
Fans who come to Classic Park to buy their tickets on March 14 will also receive complimentary food and beverages, free tours of Classic Park, up to a 50% savings off of selected items in the Cargo Hold and kids get to take batting practice in the Captains indoor batting cages.
Full season tickets plans, 12, 20, and 35-game mini ticket plans are also on sale for the upcoming Captains season. For season ticket information, please contact the Ticket Office at 440-954-WINS.
