Lake County Captains News Release
(Charleston, WV) - The Lake County Captains game on Thursday against the West Virginia Power has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up in Lake County next week as this is the last time the Captains travel to West Virginia. The Captains went 6-1 on the road trip and return to Classic Park in first place in the Northern Division of the SAL.
The Captains begin a nine game home stand at Classic Park on Friday May 16th against the Lexington Legends. Friday is the second of twenty Fireworks extravaganzas at Classic Park this season. All Friday and Saturday home games from here on out will be followed by fireworks. Tickets for all Captains home games are on sale at the Classic Park box office, by phone at 440-954-WINS (9467) or at captainsbaseball.com.
Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Jake Westbrook and reliever Joe Borowski are expected to pitch for the Lake County Captains during the upcoming home stand. Westbrook is scheduled to make a start for the Captains on Sunday, May 18th at Classic Park against the Lexington Legends. Game time is 1:05 PM and it's a Plevin & Gallucci Family Fun Day. This is the second start for Westbrook at Classic Park. He made a rehab appearance last year as well.
Borowski is expected to pitch for the Captains on Monday, May 19th also against Lexington. Monday's game time is 7:05 PM and it's another Buck Night at Classic Park featuring $1 hot dog, beer, and soda.
