Caps Shoot for 5th Straight Win as They Host Saints

Madison, WI- The Madison Capitols (8-6-3) will finally see a different foe on Friday, as they host the Dubuque Fighting Saints (12-5-0) at the Alliant Energy Center at 7 p.m.

The Capitols enter their second matchup with Dubuque coming off of four straight victories at the hands of the Green Bay Gamblers. Madison is 6-2-0 on home ice this season, including victories in six of the last seven games at the Coliseum. The Capitols have also picked up wins in eight of their last eleven games overall.

Dubuque enters Madison having won eight of its last ten games, including the first matchup between the two clubs on Oct. 25 at the Mystique Ice Arena. The Saints came away with a 4-2 win behind strong performances by leading scorer Dylan Gambrell (goal & assist) and goaltender Jacob Nehama (27 saves).

Nehama has been almost unbeatable for Dubuque in goal, going 11-1-0. He finally lost his first decision on Wednesday against Muskegon in a 2-1 defeat. Nehama's sparkling season includes a league-best 1.95 goals-against average.

The Capitols look to continue their hot streak. Will Johnson has leaped into a tie for fifth place in USHL scoring, with 21 points. Ryan Lohin's seven goals lead a balanced Madison attack that features eight players who have tallied 4 goals or more.

Following the matchup with Dubuque, Madison re-visits Dubuque and Green Bay for games on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5-6 respectively.
