Caps Look to Bounce Back in Two Game Weekend
February 8, 2024 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Madison Capitols News Release
The Capitols return to play on Friday night after not being able to capture a point from a three-game weekend last week. Madison hits the road to red-hot Chicago on Friday before returning home to face off against Green Bay on Saturday as part of the Wisconsin Cheese Cup presented by Klondike Cheese.
Madison enters play this weekend with a record of 17-14-4-2 on the season and in sole possession of fifth place in the Eastern Conference. Sitting three points back of the Caps is the Steel squad that they'll face off against on Friday night.
On the season, the Capitols are 3-2-1-0 against the Steel, which includes a 1-0-1-0 record in Geneva, IL. The Capitols will meet up with the Steel one more time following Friday's matchup later this month.
Madison looks to respond after last week's loss to the Gamblers in Green Bay by a score of 5-2. In the game, there were two fights, so fans coming out to the sixth edition of this season's Cheese Cup should expect some hostility.
Saturday's game is the Capitols annual E-Sports Night presented by TDS, which means that fans will have the chance to try out NHL 24 in the lobby throughout the night. Tickets are still available at tickets.madcapshockey.com.
