Madison Capitols News Release
The Capitols started off a four-game home stand as the team will play the entire home stand over the next eight days. The first two games will be against the Youngstown Phantoms, who announced their time in the capital city of Madison with authority in the first.
The Capitols conceded the first three goals of the game within the first six minutes and six seconds of the game. That included one on the power play for Youngstown, who controlled all of period number one. They took the 3-0 lead into the locker room after the first twenty.
Madison had the better of the opportunities in the second period, but it was Youngstown finding the lone goal of the period. The following period presented much of the same for Madison as Youngstown scored twice to start the third period of play.
The lone Capitols goal of the night came off of the stick of Will Felicio with the assist coming to Matt McGroarty. For Felicio, it was the first goal of his USHL career.
Youngstown takes game one by a score of 6-1. The two teams will battle once again tomorrow afternoon with puck drop scheduled for 3:05 pm. Tickets can be found at tickets.madcapshockey.com.
