Capitols Announce Gazich as Team President

Madison, WI - The Madison Capitols are pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Gazich as team President.

A native of Hibbing, Minn., Gazich's hockey credentials span over 25 years and include time spent with the NHL's Minnesota North Stars in the early 1990's.

Gazich earned his Doctoral Degree in psychology from the University of St. Thomas, with leadership as his area of expertise. He also has a teaching background, spending time at the College of St. Benedict - St. John's University.

Additionally, Gazich's experience includes consultation of family-owned and owner managed businesses in the areas of leadership and succession planning.

"Bob brings a wealth of knowledge to the Capitols organization and a passion for the game of hockey," said Capitols Chairman Ryan Suter. "We are excited to see him continue strengthening the Capitols brand throughout the Madison market."

Gazich's hockey contacts range far and wide, from NCAA Division I coaches to NHL agents and executives. He has also been instrumental in consulting with retired professional hockey players, aiding in their transition to life outside of hockey into private life.

Gazich and his wife, Kathleen, a former professional figure skater, have three sons, each of whom are involved in hockey. One is currently playing junior hockey, while the other two play in the Hopkins Youth Hockey Association.
