Madison, WI - The Madison Capitols welcomed three Clark Cup champions via the USHL dispersal draft.

The dispersal draft took place in the aftermath of the Indiana Ice's Clark Cup championship. Indiana will be dormant in 2014-15 as they seek a new home arena.

With their first dispersal draft pick, the Capitols selected forward Mitch Hults (Stoughton, Wis.). He is the brother of Capitols Phase 1 draftee Cole Hults. The Hults brothers both played for the Madison Capitols AAA program in youth hockey. Mitch was a key contributor in the Ice's run to the Clark Cup, scoring five playoff goals in eight games.

Following Hults' selection, the Capitols used their second dispersal pick on defenseman Chris Martenet (St. Louis, Mo.). The 6-foot-7-inch blueliner played in 35 games this past season as a 17-year-old, his first year at the USHL level.

The Capitols used their final dispersal pick on goaltender Hayden Stewart (Rockford, Ill.), who is expected to move on to Cornell University this fall.

By USHL rules, all Ice players, both active and affiliate, were required to be chosen in the dispersal draft.

The Madison Capitols begin USHL play at the Alliant Energy Center this fall, with the home schedule beginning in October. Fans can purchase their tickets by calling (608) 257-CAPS (2277) or by visiting www.madcapshockey.com .
