Sioux City Musketeers News Release

Sioux City, Iowa - Musketeers General Manager, Luke Strand, has accepted the Head Coach and General Manager position with the Madison Capitols, who are slated to begin play in the USHL next season.

Strand re-joined the Musketeers in November of 2013 as the General Manager alongside Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jay Varady. "The Sioux City Musketeers Coaching Staff and players would like to thank Luke for his effort, advice and leadership. We are sad to see him go but excited for him to get back to the state of Wisconsin and continue to develop the game in Madison. Luke was an influential part of last season's success and helped to prepare the Musketeers for future seasons. We wish him the best of luck in the future." Stated Varady.

With the move, Strand re-connects with former Sioux City Assistant Coach, Keith Paulsen, who left the Musketeers in November of 2013 to be the Assistant GM and Associate Head Coach for Capitols.

The Musketeers annual Tryout Camp is coming up in June. The camp runs from June 8 - 15, 2014 at the IBP Ice Center.
