Capitols Acquire Goaltender Caleb Heil from Sioux Falls

May 7, 2024 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Madison Capitols News Release

The Madison Capitols have announced the acquisition of goaltender Caleb Heil from the Sioux Falls Stampede. In exchange for Heil, Madison has traded Sioux City's 2024 Phase II 2nd Round selection, along with Madison's 2025 Phase I 3rd Round selection, and future considerations. Additionally, the Capitols have acquired a 2025 Phase I 9th Round pick.

Caleb Heil, a goaltender with two seasons of USHL experience, brings in a record of 11-12-2-0 and a save percentage of .870. He was a member of the USA squad that secured the silver medal at the U18 World Championships. The North Dakota commit is also projected as the 23rd North American goaltender on NHL Central Scoutings final rankings.

The addition of Caleb Heil along with Ajay White puts Madison in a good spot goalie wise heading into the Phase II portion of the USHL Draft on Tuesday.

Although the season may be done, we still encourage you to stay connected with the Madison Capitols on social media and the team's official website for the latest updates, news, and behind-the-scenes content.
