
Capital District Sports Inc. Welcomes Two New Hires

ALBANY, NY - Capital District Sports, Inc. announced today that they have hired Margaret Cairol and Stephanie Bellizzi. Cairol will serve as the new Director of Community Relations for the American Hockey League's Albany River Rats and the arenafootball2's Albany Conquest, while Bellizzi will serve as a Ticket Account Executive for both teams.
"We are very happy to have both Margaret and Stephanie join the team," said Capital District Sports Inc. President & CEO S. Garen Szablewski. "With these two additions we have successfully rounded out our front office staff as we enter the last few weeks of the 2008 Conquest season and as we approach the beginning of the 2008-09 River Rats season."
Cairol comes to Albany from Buffalo, NY where she was studying for her Masters Degree in Sport Administration from Canisius College and was a community relations intern for the National Hockey League's Buffalo Sabres during the 2007-08 season. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Cairol received a Bachelors Degree in Media Studies with a minor in journalism from Queens College City University of New York. During the 2005-06 season Cairol was an intern with the New York Rangers, working in game night operations during the season and then with the Rangers Road Tour Staff during the following summer. She continued to work with the Rangers as Game Night Staff during the 2006-07 season, while also working as a counselor for the 2007 Rangers Hockey School in Tarrytown, NY.
Bellizzi joins Capital District Sports after recently graduating from Western New England College in Springfield, MA with a Bachelors Degree in Sport Management. A native of Spencer, MA, Bellizzi was an intern with the AHL's Springfield Falcons during the 2007-08 season, working with their game night operations staff.
Capital District Sports Inc. owns and operates the Albany River Rats, the American Hockey League affiliate of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes. Capital District Sports Inc. also provides management services for the Albany Conquest of arenafootball2 out of the Times Union Center in Albany, NY.
