Predators Sign former Admiral Kevin Klein

Nashville, Tenn. - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed defenseman Kevin Klein to a two-year, $1.3 million contract.

Klein has appeared in 18 career NHL contests with the Predators since 2005-06, registering three points (1g-2a). The Kitchener, Ont., native notched two assists and six penalty minutes with Nashville in 2007-08. He also appeared in nine games for the Admirals in two conditioning stints this past season, registering three assists while playing both forward and defense.

Originally Nashville's third selection, 37th overall (second round) in the 2003 Entry Draft, Klein has played 220 American Hockey League games with Milwaukee since his first professional season in 2004-05, and helped the Admirals to the Calder Cup Finals in 2006. During his time with the Ads, Klein recorded 19 goals and 63 assists for 82 points.
