
Canucks Reassign Reid to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks announced that they have reassigned centreman Brandon Reid to the Manitoba Moose.
Reid, 21, made his NHL debut last night against the Montreal Canadiens. He recorded his first-ever NHL point with an assist in the third period and played 8:45 of the 1-1 tie on Saturday night.
Reid is Manitoba's leading scorer with 42 points (14 goals, 28 assists) and 18 penalty minutes. The 5'9" forward has already set season career-highs for points, assists, penalty minutes and power play goals (6). He is the only Moose to play in all 63 games during the 2002-03 season and has registered eight multi-point games this season with the Moose. Reid holds a season team-high five game assist streak (Nov. 01-09/02) and set a career-high six game point streak (Oct.30-Nov.9/02).
Reid was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks with their fifth choice, 208th overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He was originally assigned to Manitoba prior to the start of the 2002-03 season on September 25/02.
