Canucks reassign King

The Vancouver Canucks announced that they have reassigned left winger Jason King to the Manitoba Moose.

King, 21, was recalled by Vancouver on March 16 and made his NHL debut on March 17 against the Dallas Stars. He registered his first-ever NHL point with an assist on March 18 versus the St. Louis Blues. In eight NHL games this season, he notched two assists and 12 shots.

King signed with the Canucks on Oct. 11/02 and was assigned to Manitoba at the start of the 2002-03 AHL season. He has played in 64 AHL matches with the Moose in his rookie campaign. The Corner Brook, NF native has registered 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 points. King stands in sixth spot in Moose scoring. He is only one point away from moving into a second place tie for Moose rookie scoring.

King was originally Vancouver's fifth choice, 212th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
