Canned Food Drive at Foster Field

San Angelo, Texas --- The Colts are partnering with the Angelo State University chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha and the Concho Valley Food Bank to host a canned food drive at Foster Field from June 28-30.

During the Colts' games on those dates, fans can bring a canned food item to the ballpark and receive a buy one, get one free general admission ticket voucher. The canned food will go to the Concho Valley Food Bank, which feeds needy people in the San Angelo area.

The Colts will take on the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings during the canned food drive. Gates for the games from June 28-30 open at 6:05 p.m., and first pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

Lambda Chi Alpha is one of the largest men's general fraternities in North America with more than 275,000 initiated members, and nearly 200 active chapters.

The Concho Valley Food Bank is a state licensed salvage facility whose mission is to stop the waste of edible food, and to distribute that food and other grocery products to a network of non-profit agencies in the Concho Valley.

Tonight the Colts continue their stretch of eight straight games against the Abilene Prairie Dogs. The first 1,000 fans through the gates at Foster Field will receive a free six-pack cooler, courtesy of Pepsi. Gates open at 6:05 p.m., and first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.

The Colts are a member of United League Baseball who are in their 13th season. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the Colts' front office at Foster Field.
