Sioux Falls Canaries News Release

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Canaries will host a Rock and Roll Tribute Show at the Birdcage on Thursday, June 8 at 7 p.m. The concert will pay homage to the heavy sounds of AC/DC and Led Zeppelin with the stadium's first-ever tribute show, featuring live performances by renowned tribute bands Hells Bells and Zed-Leppelin.

Hells Bells is America's #1 Tribute to AC/DC and plays all of the high-energy rock and roll hits made famous by Brian Johnson and the late Bon Scott. The group covers the entire Back In Black album as well as a variety of other AC/DC classics, such as Highway to Hell, Thunderstruck, and TNT.

"These guys look like AC/DC right down to guitarist Evan Christopher's Angus Young-style schoolboy uniform," said Canaries President John Kuhn. "If you've never heard the real AC/DC in concert, close your eyes, these guys nail the music dead on, and you'll swear you are there with Brian, Angus, Malcom, Cliff, and Phil."

Zed-Leppelin is the nation's premier tribute to Led Zeppelin. The group of Minnesota natives shares a commitment to recreating the Led Zeppelin concert experience. Zed-Leppelin's set list includes classics like Stairway to Heaven, Good Times Bad Times, and Dazed and Confused.

"Their lead singer has the look of Robert Plant from the long, curly hair to the hip hugging bell-bottoms and flowering shirts," said Kuhn. "His voice has every moan and inflection of the rock legend and he even plays the harmonica to further nail the Plant sound. The boys work the rhythm section like Bonzo and Jonesy and the Page guitar riffs are meticulously recreated. The sound, the clothes, the vibe...this is the closest thing to Zep that fans are likely to ever see."

Tickets for the all-ages concert are $5 per person and they go on sale Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show will feature close to three-hours of Rock and Roll. To purchase tickets visit the Canaries Box Office, or call 333-0179.
