Canadiens Assign Greg Stewart To The Bulldogs For Conditioning

MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that forward Greg Stewart has been assigned from the Canadiens to the Hamilton Bulldogs for conditioning purposes. Stewart is scheduled to join the 'Dogs in Winnipeg where the club has back-to-back games against the Manitoba Moose on Friday and Saturday.

Stewart, 23, has skated in five games with Montreal this year, being held pointless and recording 11 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 197-pound left wing has played in a total of 26 NHL games with the Canadiens earning one assist and serving 48 penalty minutes. The native of Kitchener, Ontario recorded 34 points (17 goals, 17 assists) and 307 penalty minutes in 120 games with the Bulldogs from 2007-2009. Stewart was drafted in the 8th round, 246th overall by the Canadiens in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The Bulldogs travel to Manitoba to meet the Moose for back-to-back match-ups on Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st both scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST.
