Bulldogs Turn Down The Heat With 2-1 Win

Abbotsford, BC - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Abbotsford Heat 2-1 on Wednesday night. J.T. Wyman and David Desharnais scored while Curtis Sanford earned the win in goal.

The 'Dogs opened the game's scoring at 16:46 of the first period while on the power play. Andre Benoit slid a pass to Brock Trotter, who sent the puck towards the net. Wyman redirected the puck past Abbotsford starting goaltender Matt Keetley.

The Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead at 2:35 of the middle frame. Mike Glumac skated down the right side boards before sending a pass to Desharnais, who was positioned in front of the net. Desharnais one-timed a shot between the legs of Keetley.

The Heat cut the lead in half with a power-play goal at 6:59 of the second stanza. Keith Seabrook received a pass from Colin Stuart before skating towards the net from the left point. Seabrook wristed a shot that sailed over the glove of Hamilton starting goaltender Curtis Sanford and into the top of the net.

The Bulldogs travel to Manitoba to battle the Moose on Friday, November 20th at 8:30 p.m. EST.
