Ducks Assign Christensen To Moose For Conditioning

The Anaheim Duck today announced they have assigned forward Erik Christensen to the Moose for conditioning.

Christensen, 25, has played in nine games so far this season with the Ducks where he has collected two penalty minutes. In 226 NHL games with Anaheim, Atlanta, and Pittsburgh in his six year pro career, the Edmonton, AB native has scored 98 points (42g & 56a) and 112 penalty minutes. Christensen has also played in 141 career games in the American Hockey League with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins where he has 97 points (50g & 47a) and 91 penalty minutes. His best season occurred in 2005-06 when he scored 46 points (24g & 22a) in 48 games before being recalled by the Pittsburgh Penguins. The next season, he had 24 points (12g & 12a) in just 16 games in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. In 22 career Calder Cup games with the Penguins, Christensen has 11 points (3g & 8a) along with six penalty minutes.

Christensen was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round, 69th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
