(Memorial Stadium - Everett, WA) - A three-run home run from Canadians 1B Art Charles off of Everett starter RHP Victor Sanchez in the top of the 1st inning helped Vancouver top the Aquasox 7-4 to win the Northwest League West Division Final two-games-to-none sending the C's to a second straight League Championship.

Vancouver wasted little time getting to Sanchez who would give up the trio of runs in the 1st inning and another two in the top of the 2nd inning. SS Jorge Flores hit his second double of the series bringing home C Tucker Frawley, before 3B Kellen Sweeney would hit a sharp liner out to Everett 2B Brock Hebert that was mishandled allowing Flores to give the C's a 5-0 lead.

The Aquasox would grab a run in the bottom of the 4th inning, but Vancouver would answer back with a pair of runs in the top of the 6th inning shortly after Everett manager Rob Maumau brought in reliever RHP Blake Hauser. Canadians C Tucker Frawley would manager a walk and move over to third base on a single from SS Jorge Flores. With runners on the corners, Hauser would balk, bringing Frawley home and seconding Flores out to second base. Shortly after Flores advanced to third base on a CF Ian Parmley strikeout, Hauser would uncork a wild pitch that skipped past C Marcus Littlewood to give Vancouver the biggest lead of the night at 7-1.

Canadians RHP Taylor Cole was outstanding in his first professional playoff start going six innings allowing five hits without giving up an earned run while striking out three.

RHP Wil Browning came into pitch the 7th inning for Vancouver and struggled giving up three runs that included a two-out triple from LF Mike Faulkner that scored both RF Janelfry Zorrilla (single) and SS Ketel Marte (single) to help the Aquasox pull to within three runs.

Vancouver kept its composure late as Browning would bounce back with a 1-2-3 8th inning and closer RHP Arik Sikula remained perfect into the playoffs as he locked down his 1st post-season save, and 11th straight to secure a 7-4 Canadians victory clinching a place in the Northwest League Championship for the second straight summer.
